The Grosse Pointe Public Library welcomes suggestions for new items to add to our collection. 

Before making a suggestion, please check the library catalog to make sure that the item is not already available.
Keep in mind the following:

  • You may also request items we don’t own through interlibrary loan via MeLCat statewide catalog.
  • Items older than 2 years, please check MeLCat. For items that aren't coming out for 6 or more months, please check the catalog closer to the publication date. We will not honor requests that are not within our parameters.
  • The library takes into consideration all suggestions but does not guarantee that any item will be purchased for the collection. For more information about the materials that the library buys, please see the Material Selection guidelines.
