Library Returns to Curbside Only
Curbside Only Begins Nov. 18
Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in our area, we will return to level 4 of our reopening plan, “Curbside GPPL,” starting today, Wednesday, November 18. Hopefully, by doing our part to help flatten the curve, the GPPL along with the rest of the state, will be able to move forward again after three weeks.
What GPPL services are available?
You can still reserve your books and DVDs on our website and check them out via our curbside service. Both the Central and Woods branches will offer curbside service Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
To keep you as safe as possible during curbside, please remember to pop your trunk or roll down your passenger window so we can easily place your library materials in your vehicle.
Our Reference Hotline, 313-389-6212 and online chat are also available during these hours.
In addition, our digital resources are available to all patrons from their homes for free. We have e-books, movies and music. Educational databases are available for both children and adults. And we have digital subscriptions to newspapers and magazines. I encourage you to visit our website to see all of our digital resources.
Looking Forward
Given the rapidly changing nature of this outbreak, we will carefully reassess the situation in three weeks and share updates as they become available. You can stay up-to-date on any changes to library services through our website. You can also follow the Library on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Thank you for your understanding.
